Reduce churn
6 min read · Understand why customers leave and keep them honestly, with no traps.
What churn is
Churn is customers who stop paying. Every SaaS has it. But if too many leave, you're filling a leaky bucket: you need more and more new customers just to stay in place.
Why people leave
The most common reasons:
- they never really got the tool working for them;
- the product doesn't solve their problem well enough;
- their need went away (project done, business closed);
- the price feels too high for what they get out of it;
- a bug or slow support frustrated them;
- a temporary break (vacation, slow season).
You can't prevent all of it. But you can understand it and act on part of it.
